Rockstar Games may still release remakes of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption, but only after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6

According to new material in Kotaku, GTA 6 caused the shutdown of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption remakes. In essence, Rockstar Games wants to focus on the new chapter of the series, putting all their efforts into it. However, the updated versions of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption were not completely abandoned – it is possible that they will return to them after the studio releases GTA 6.

Kotaku has confirmed that much of the blame lies with the poor reception of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, as revealed by a Tez2 insider yesterday. Kotaku’s sources confirmed how true these rumors are, adding that in this way Rockstar Games hopes that gamers will eventually forget about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Obviously there has been a lot of discussion in the studio after a lot of criticism and they don’t want to risk a repeat of this.

However, it looks like the GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption remakes haven’t been canceled entirely, or rather, it looks like they’ve been shelved to pick up again after GTA 6 releases when things are calmer again. .
