Xenoblade Chronicles 3 protagonist’s backstory revealed in new trailer

In honor of today’s release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 worldwide, Nintendo of America has released new trailers for the game, detailing protagonist Noah and main character Mio. Their backstories, personalities, and goals are briefly shown in these trailers.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will tell the story of the protagonists Noah and Mio, who come into conflict between the nations of Keves and Agnus. 6 characters will be the basis of the plot, and the broad concept of “life” – the central theme of the game.

The game’s narrative will draw on elements and storylines from the future of the previous two main games, Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Flutes appear to play an integral role in this game’s story.

The summoning of this powerful new form depends on the new Interlink system. Under certain conditions, characters can combine into this mech, and the right choice of the moment of transformation should be a key moment in more difficult battles. Another system that’s been made public is the ability to change classes, allowing players to customize their parties even more than in previous games.

The game releases today, July 29, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
