Blockbuster with Tom Cruise “Top Gun: Maverick” continues to win film distribution and set new records. The film became Paramount’s most successful home release. The sequel “Top Gun” bypassed “Titanic” in the US and became the highest grossing tape in the history of the studio.
In the US alone, “Top Gun: Maverick” grossed $601.9 million while “Titanic” grossed $600.7 million. Even without taking into account inflation and re-releases of “Titanic”, Paramount called the sequel “Top Gun” its most successful film.
The total fees of the tape in the world are also impressive. “Top Gun: Maverick” grossed more than $1 billion worldwide and became the 22nd highest-grossing film.
