This year, Charlie “Cr1TiKal” White offered $5,000 to complete the “impossible” Halo 2 challenge: completing the full single player game of Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty with 13 difficulty modifiers. Since no one could pull it off, he increased the reward to $20,000. Now someone can claim the prize because they completed this challenge, which was thought to be impossible.
We are talking about the streamer JerValiN. In the eighteen years since the release of Halo 2, this is the first time that someone has completed the task, or rather, the first time that someone has proven that he did it. It took the player about six and a half hours to complete the game, but the victory was achieved after dozens of attempts over the previous weeks. You can watch the full run on Twitch here link.
This is an outstanding achievement that netted the streamer $20,000: not bad for a few weeks of work. Clearly, JerValiN is no ordinary player and has previously completed LASO Deathless from Halo 2 Anniversary, which is a game with 14 active modifiers: the 14th adds the stealth ability, making it easier to play. In this case, it took him about 5 hours and 54 minutes. Without additional help, it only took him half an hour more.
