The printer was taught to erase printed on paper

Specialists from the Israeli company Reep Technologies have developed an innovative technology, thanks to which the printer can erase text on paper. The first such devices may appear on the market within five years.

The solution is based on laser ink removal. When exposed to a special laser, the ink from the surface of the paper simply evaporates, while the sheet itself remains intact.

As a result, the paper can be reused as needed. According to the developers, the system allows you to print, erase and reprint text on the same sheet up to ten times.

At the same time, the device itself looks like a regular printer. The user puts paper in it, after which the process of processing it with a laser begins. The final result is a clean sheet, ready for a new printout.

In the future, the developed technology can significantly reduce paper consumption and save tens of thousands of trees, as well as reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
