Good news for horror movie fans, because one of the franchises started by James Wan, Insidious, is poised to return in 2023. The film, which was called “Insidious: The Dark Realm”, will be released on July 7, 2023
The fifth installment in the Astral universe also marks the debut of Patrick Wilson, who co-starred in the first two films, as the film’s director. In addition to Patrick, the film will also feature Scott Tims of Halloween Kills fame.
Plot details are scarce at the moment, but we do know that the fifth film takes place 10 years after the end of Astral 2, the year Dalton graduated from college. Wilson gave a few hints about what to expect from the new film, as well as how the fifth picture ties in with the events of the first two films and why he chose to direct.
