‘The movie the Predator franchise needed’: Early reviews for ‘Prey’ are very positive

The first reviews of the film “Production” appeared. And it looks like this will be the Predator part we’ve all been waiting for. Prey, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, premiered last night at San Diego Comic-Con, and happy audiences can’t find enough praise for the Predator prequel. On social media, to share their impressions of the film, phrases such as “my favorite Predator movie”, “the movie that the Predator franchise needed” and “this surpasses the original film!” are heard.

20th Century Studios’ Prey is the latest sequel to the long-running Predator franchise. Director Dan Trachtenberg (The Boys, 10 Cloverfield Lane) tells the story of the first appearance on Earth of a race of alien hunters. The film is set in the Comanche tribe 300 years ago. The Predator movie tells the story of a young Naru woman, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She grew up in the shadow of the most legendary hunters who roamed the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she goes to protect her people.

The first Predator went down in history as one of the best examples of monster sci-fi action movies. While the franchise has since been something of…controversial, those who have sat down to watch Prey have walked away calling it the successor that Predator fans have dreamed of.

Prey will be released on Hulu on August 5 and will also be streaming on Star+ in Latin America and Star in other countries. Check out the trailer and synopsis below:
