The largest Twitter account about the gaming industry has ceased to exist

Few people know his name, but it was this person who was the primary source of most news about games and the industry. Nibel (@Nibellion) started his Twitter page in 2012 and has been relentless in posting the most up-to-date information. He gathered about 400,000 subscribers, including eminent representatives of the video game industry.

However, Nibel recently announced the launch of a page on the paid Patreon service to raise funds for the continued existence of the Twitter account. On October 31, the journalist made new announcement: His pages on both platforms cease to exist. The reason for this is not only the insufficient amount of funds raised (which he will try to reimburse), but also the lack of trust in the social network itself. Nibel says that even after the change of leadership to Elon Musk, Twitter will continue to slowly die, so there is no point in wasting time on this.

In recent years, Nibel has had a significant impact on the gaming industry and enlisted the support of such prominent figures as The Game Awards founder Jeff Keely, but in spite of everything, he decided to leave the media space and develop in a different direction.
