Earlier this summer, Sand was unveiled as an ambitious first-person action game with open world and survival elements. The project intrigues with its unusual setting, which combines canonical steampunk and post-apocalypse with an alternative history. The developers of the game offer a closer look at the unusual world of Sand with the help of published concept art.

The presented illustrations provide an opportunity to appreciate the diverse expanses of the open world Sand. Based on these concepts, the game will have vast desert locations, but players will also be able to visit the city and various buildings that were created in the spirit of classic steampunk.
In the alternative beginning of the 20th century, the discovery of new energy sources allowed people to make significant progress in space exploration. Initiated by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the conquest of other planets and their valuable resources became real.
The mystery of environmental disaster has befallen the mineral-rich planet Sophie; its inhabitants were forced to leave. Now the most courageous representatives of the empire and destitute souls go to Sophie. In this deadly land of sand and wind, they seek one thing and one thing only: treasures that can change someone’s life forever. And if blood spills along the way, so be it.

Along with this, the developers announced a closed alpha testing of the game. Anyone can apply for participation through the official website. Sand does not yet have a release date, but the developers believe in a relatively early release of the game on PC and consoles.
