A new One-Punch Man video game for PC and mobile devices is in development. One-Punch Man: World is being developed by Perfect World, the creators of Tower of Fantasy and the spin-off Persona 5 The Phantom X for PC and mobile, and published by Crunchyroll Games, the interactive division of the anime company.
One-Punch Man: World is a multiplayer action game based on the One-Punch Man anime created for PC, iOS and Android with cross-platform play and progression. According to Crunchyroll, the game will feature characters and abilities from the anime.
The plot of the game is as follows: “An ominous wave of monster attacks has left the cities of Earth and the Hero Association in a difficult situation. However, after three years of special training, Saitama has become so strong that he can defeat opponents with one blow. The point is that Saitama is engaged in heroism just for fun, but when every enemy falls with a single hit, overwhelming power can seem… boring. Now, a new enemy appears in front of the calmest and strongest hero. Will he be able to show his full power today?”
You’ll unlock and level up anime characters, including Genos, and enter the Hero Association hub, where you can meet friends, complete missions, and team up to take on enemies together. Combat includes well-timed dodges, combos, and ultimates. You fight in moments taken from the first season of One-Punch Man, “punch by punch”, and explore Z-City through side activities and mini-games.
The game is expected to hit the market in 2023 and will be supported by microtransactions.
