The creators of the series “Chucky” officially announced that the premiere of the second season will take place just in time for Halloween. The horror television series reprises the events of the Don Mancini films Child’s Play and includes the return of famous alumni. Mancini is one of the series’ executive producers, as well as its creator. The exact date of the premiere of the second season: October 5, 2022.
The first season of Chucky consisted of 8 episodes that aired weekly on Syfy and USA Network. Shortly after airing all 8 episodes, the series was added to the Peacock catalog. Brad Dourif, who has been the voice of the iconic horror doll since 1988, is back in Chucky. In the series Curse of Chucky, Dourif was joined by his daughter Fiona as Niki Pierce.
“Chucky” introduced a new generation of teenagers who were terrorized by a sinister doll. The series began with Jake Wheeler (Zachary Arthur) buying a Good Guy doll at a garage sale with the intention of using her head for a sculpture. The doll’s sinister actions change the course of Jake’s life: he kills his father and is forced to live with his cousin Junior (Theo Briones), who bullies him at school. In the end, Junior, Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), Lexi (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and her little sister Karolina (Kareena Buttrick) get caught up in Chucky’s twisted game.
