A month ago, AMD officially introduced its graphics card based on the architecture RDNA2 Radeon RX 6700, and before that, a week earlier, Sapphire announced and even started selling its Radeon 6700 graphics card without RX and XT. AMD has confirmed that such a model exists, except that it must still carry the RX branding badge, which is how the Sapphire RX 6700 PULSE came about.
This video card is quietly sold in China, but it has not been noticed elsewhere. It turned out that in France and Spain you can find offers to buy a graphics accelerator with a core Navi 22XL from 570 to 580 euros with VAT. Spanish retailers are having a sale on this card, reducing the price to 380 euro, which is a much better price for this card. However, AMD has not confirmed the recommended retail price for this accelerator, so it’s hard to say which price tag is more accurate.
It can be concluded that Radeon RX 6700 PULSE is no longer exclusive to the Chinese market, which is rather surprising considering that AMD didn’t even deign to properly present this card in a press release or even a tweet announcement – it just appeared on the site.
Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 – custom model with GPU Navi 22 and 2304 stream processors, out of 2560 available. It also has a reduced memory capacity to 10 GB and a memory bus with a width of up to 160 bits This means that the bandwidth will be reduced, and this will affect the performance in games.
These specs actually match those of the Sapphire GPRO X080 mining card, which raises the question of whether the company has rebranded its gaming mining cards to maintain profits.
Looking at benchmarks that have been posted previously, Radeon The RX 6700 SKU is a mid-range model showing approximately ten% better results than Radeon RX 6650XT in 3DMark Time Spy benchmark. Most likely the price of 500 euros is too high for this model.
