Studio Santa Monica posted a message on their official Twitter account acknowledging that unauthorized footage of the game is available and urging fans to be careful not to accidentally see gameplay or story spoilers.
The studio is doing its best to limit the leak, but it’s basically a game of hitting the mole. Fans are also advised to disable game-related keywords and hashtags prior to release day. The message ends with a promise that the game will be worth the wait when it is released.
God of War Ragnarok will release on PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022. It will be a continuation of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus after the previous God of War game released in 2018 for PS4 and earlier this year for PC.
