A group of enthusiasts from Russia, Art-Maps, is creating a modification for Heroes of Might and Magic III that will turn the game into Dota 2. Thus, the developers plan to transfer 64 Dota characters with a full set of abilities to Heroes and adapt key game mechanics.
Modders released the first version of Dota on the Heroes of Might and Magic III engine in March 2022. The authors plan to release the project soon.
