Resident Evil 4 remake has sold over five million copies

Resident Evil 4 Remake’s total shipments and digital sales have surpassed five million copies worldwide, Capcom has announced.

Resident Evil 4 is out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on March 24th.

On April 7, it was revealed that the game had sold four million copies, meaning that over 1 million copies have been sold since then.

Below is an overview of the remake by Capcom:

Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the original 2005 game. In addition to story overhauls and gameplay upgrades, 2023 offers both fans of the series and newcomers alike a new gameplay experience that is highly visually immersive thanks to Capcom’s own advanced RE ENGINE graphics technology. Sales of Resident Evil 4 surged following positive customer feedback and the release of The Mercenaries, a free add-on downloadable content, pushing worldwide sales to over five million units. In addition, Capcom is looking to further increase sales with the release of Resident Evil 4 VR Mode, a free downloadable content compatible with PlayStation VR2.

Capcom continues to strive to meet the expectations of all stakeholders by leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities to create an engaging gaming experience.
