It turns out that all this time GSC Game World has been working on the console version of their iconic shooter. Alas, there was no surprise for the fans. Anonymous insiders leaked a working build of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl to the network, which can even be run on a PC.
Representatives of the studio have not yet officially commented on the leak, but screenshots of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl for consoles have already appeared on the network, and the build itself can be freely downloaded. The weight of the game is only 4 GB. It is important to note that this is not a remake, but a simple console port of the shooter.
According to the players who launched the console version, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl has added full support for the gamepad, updated the interface and changed the way the inventory works. Other than that, it’s still the same game from 2007.
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl for consoles is reportedly being developed by a third-party studio. The established GSC Game World team is fully involved in the creation of the sequel.
