NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 will be released in 450W and 600W versions for a price lower than the RTX 3090 Ti, but this is not certain

According to new rumors posted on the Chiphell forums, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card will come in 450W and 600W variants and will cost less than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti MSRP.

Rumor has it that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 may be the only “Ada Lovelace” based graphics card hitting store shelves this year, with other options possibly coming in Q1 2023.

It is very likely that we may see NVIDIA announce other cards, but the launch will take place a bit later. One of the reasons for this delay could be the fact that NVIDIA takes its existing GPU inventory very seriously and marketers could have asked the green team to wait a bit before launching new cards, which is why we are seeing the price drop of the existing flagship lineup.

For example, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, with an MSRP of $1,200, is already selling for less than $800, while the RTX 3090, with an MSRP of $1,500, is currently selling for $1,000. The more interesting part is the TGP numbers.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is said to come with 450W and 600W TGP options. The reference design will likely remain at 450W, but partners will have the option to increase power to 600W in their custom designs.
