The next smartphone from the London startup Nothing will be released without LED strips on the back of the case. A message about this appeared on the website of the Chinese edition of ITHome. At the same time, according to insiders, the new device will also lose another recognizable detail of its predecessor in the form of a transparent cover.
It is noted that the manufacturer decided to take this step for two reasons. The first is cost reduction. The Nothing Phone 2 is expected to retail for $415, well below the original device’s $745 price tag. The second is the installation of a more powerful battery. Nothing’s new device will have a 5000 mAh battery instead of 4000 mAh. Another difference Nothing Phone 2 will be the lack of wireless charging.
Otherwise, according to ITHome, the characteristics of the new smartphone will echo the original. That is, the smartphone will receive a Snapdragon 700-series processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory, as well as Android 12 out of the box and IP53 moisture protection.
When exactly Nothing will present the next product is not reported. However, an ITHome source knows that the company is already working on it.
