Multiverse theories are getting more and more popular as fans spot a second version of the werewitch in a new trailer for Bayonetta 3.
Bayonetta 3 is one of the most anticipated games coming to Nintendo Switch in 2022. Announced five years ago at The Game Awards 2017, Bayonetta 3 almost disappeared for a while, until fans saw gameplay for the first time in 2021. News about the game then ceased to appear, leading some fans to be wary of the release date being pushed back. Aside from the release date, a lot of other things were showcased in the trailer. The return of characters such as Rodan, Jeanne and Luka has been confirmed. A new addition to Bayonetta 3 was also introduced by Viola, a witch training under Bayonetta. The image was posted along with the caption: “Wait, is that…two mounts?” With this simple tweet, Nintendo seems to have confirmed to fans that another version of the famous witch may be coming to Bayonetta 3. wearing clothes very different from what the players of the first two games expected. The clothes for the second Bayonetta are red and gold, with bright designs and even armor on the shoulders.
Given the recent success of movies like Everything, Everywhere, All At Once and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, some fans are already creating multiverse theories around Bayonetta 3’s story. There’s already another version of Bayonetta on the show, just like the first installment. Eventually, the witch found a younger version of herself in Cereza. Fans believe that Ceresa will return in Bayonetta 3, which seems even more likely as another version of the witch has been confirmed for the game.
