Next NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series PCI IDs leaked for desktop and mobile graphics chips

The listed list of PCI ID devices makes it clear that GPUs NVIDIA Ada Lovelace will be presented in different versions. This is due to the fact that in the near future NVIDIA and AMD will not work with the real names of their future models. The ID can be exclusive to certain samples to help track certain devices.

The latest information posted on the LaptopVideo2Go site, shared by user harukaze5719, takes a look at the list based on how these devices look in the software. These identifiers are later added to the public list of PCI identifiers, which is then used by websites such as LV2G and videocardz. All of these IDs may not make it into the final finished graphics cards, it’s more of a roadmap of what passes the test.

If the leak is to be believed, desktop GeForce RTX 4090 will have ID 2684. This is the first partially confirmed ID, likely due to the development status of the RTX 40 GPU – this model should be launched first. This GPU is based on a stripped-down AD102 with a claimed 16384 CUDA cores and 24GB of GDDR6X memory. This card will be the flagship of the next RTX 40 series before the launch of the RTX 40 Ti.

There is also a leaked list RTX 40 mobile series, presumably called GN21-X. The 21 numbering was easy to predict since the GN20 is the Ampere generation. However, part of GN suggests that these are all mobile samples, but it is interesting that the launch of a new mobile graphics architecture is still very far away.

These IDs were posted by user Faintsnow, who had already shared the IDs of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 TI a few weeks before launch. This user clearly has information about RTX mobile GPUs already now, so there is a good chance that these codenames do indeed reflect the new RTX 40 mobile chip line.

Also, insider @kopite7kimi added some information about the proposed GN21-X series product line. He only pointed out that the GN21-X11 is indeed based on the AD103 GPU, but cannot be called RTX 4080 MObile.

The desktop version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 should be released in 3 months, while the mobile series should arrive at the beginning of Q1 2023. The release of these cards will be highly dependent on the release cycle of Intel and AMD processors, which is not yet fully confirmed.
