Frontier Developments has unveiled its final behind-the-scenes video of F1 Manager 2022, a major new officially licensed F1 management simulation game.
In the video, gamers from Senior Dialogue Designer Robbie Mann and experts from Frontier’s audio division share more details on F1 Manager 2022’s standout audio features.
The key to any Formula 1 race weekend is the roar of the engine, the hard shifting pops and the pre-race rumble. In F1 Manager 2022, these sounds have been taken directly from real F1 racing, immersing fans in the ultimate F1 broadcast experience with a suite of on-board and road cameras. With a unique innovation, players hear how their car reacts to every turn, curb, and bump as they push their car to the limit, with audio differences reflecting camera position, car in focus, and even gear selected. This realism-focused approach to sound design also embraces environmental factors such as weather and spectator positions, fully reproducing the breathtaking sounds of a Formula 1 race weekend across all twenty-two tracks of the 2022 calendar.
F1 Manager 2022 releases August 30 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
