Koei Tecmo has released a new preview trailer for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (known as Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse in Europe), giving players a sneak peek at the game ahead of its release next year. The remaster of the Japanese horror classic will go digital on March 9, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on Steam.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse takes place a decade after the mysterious disappearance of five girls at a festival on the island of Rogetsu, located in southern Japan. Although all the girls were saved, their memory was lost, leaving only a faint memory of a single tune and a possessed masked woman dancing in the moonlight. Now, ten years later, with no memory of the events surrounding their disappearance, two out of five girls have died – they were found with their faces covered and in a tragic, crying pose. The remaining three girls go to a creepy island to unravel the mystery of the death of their friends, as well as unravel the mystery of the memories left behind.
