New trailer compares RoboCop: Rogue City trailer footage to original film

Yesterday we were shown the first gameplay trailer for the shooter RoboCop: Rogue City, which is based on the most popular movie of the 80s “RoboCop”. Detroit’s most dangerous cop returns in this game inspired by the very first 1987 movie and puts us in the shoes of Alex Murphy from a first-person perspective. And to be completely true to the movie of the time, Teyon managed to partner with actor Peter Weller, who was modeled in the game, to give his semi-cyborg features back.

In this regard, the popular blogger Cycu1, known for his video comparisons of various games, confessed his love for the original film and released a rather interesting comparison of the gameplay trailer with the film.

I confess I was born in the mid eighties and the RoboCop series was one of the movies I grew up with. It’s iconic to me and I just can’t wait to get my hands on the upcoming Robocop Rogue City game. Here’s my early comparison to show how true this game is to the original movie. What do you think?

Nacon also shared new screenshots from the game, but you will not see anything new on them, just high-resolution frames from the video:

From the creators of Terminator: Resistance, RoboCop: Rogue City will release in June 2023 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
