New colorful trailer for “Avatar: The Way of Water”

Today, November 2, Disney and 20th Century unveiled a new trailer for Avatar: The Way of the Water. The film will be released on December 16, 2022. It features the world of Pandora, as well as returning Na’avi characters played by Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. The trailer follows the first teaser that was released back in May.

Avatar: The Way of Water was recently called “the most insanely complex movie” ever made. According to writer-director Liam O’Donnell, Cameron used 15 cameras during filming, two of which were aimed at each actor’s face, and used underwater motion capture and “infrared depth capture to put CG characters into live action shots.” . The film’s cast, including Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet, as well as crew members, were trained to stay underwater for two to three minutes in order to film numerous scenes in the film.

It was revealed last week that the film will run for 3 hours and 12 minutes, 30 minutes longer than the first Avatar.

The film will take place 15 years after the events of the original Avatar.
