Netflix’s Resident Evil currently has one of the lowest user ratings

Netflix’s adaptation of Resident Evil received disastrous audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, among the lowest for any Netflix video game adaptation.

According to Forbes, Resident Evil has a 22% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to a 53% critical rating. It’s worth noting that anyone can vote as part of the audience evaluation, and confirmation of actually watching the show is not required.

By comparison, the animated series Castlevania, which began in 2017, has an audience rating of 88% and a critical rating of 94%. The Witcher, which is more closely related to the novel series but takes elements from CD Projekt games, has a 75% audience rating and 81% critical ratings.

User reviews of Resident Evil have been incredibly negative.

This reaction to the show could have been predicted based on the reaction to the first trailer. To date, the trailer has received 53,000 likes and 125,000 dislikes.
