Ryan Gosling will return as Sierra Six as Netflix has officially announced that The Gray Man is getting a sequel. After years of working with Marvel Studios and making some of the biggest films of all time, the Russo brothers have shifted their focus to streaming services. As a result, this led to the creation of a long-prepared film adaptation of The Gray Man. Based on the novel by Mark Greaney, Ryan Gosling plays Sierra Six, a skilled CIA assassin who uncovers the dark truth about who he works for, turning the agency against him. The Gray Man features Chris Evans as Lloyd Hansen on the hunt for Sixx and also features Sixx’s rocky partnership with Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas).
Hailed as the most expensive Netflix movie to date, The Gray Man has received a lot of attention. Reviews for the Russo Brothers’ latest film were not very good, as evidenced by a mixed 48% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, their involvement and the star power of Gosling, Evans, and de Armas, as well as Netflix’s large subscriber base, paved the way for the film’s success.
The announcement of The Gray Man 2 was also accompanied by the news that a mysterious spin-off of The Gray Man was in development.
All in all, those who really enjoyed the film will no doubt be happy to hear that the Gray Man sequel will feature even more Sierra Six, and those who were disappointed with the first film can only hope that Gray Man 2 will be even better. .
