Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy voice actor wants to take part in Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy voice actor John McLaren is up for the role of Wolverine in the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy became an unexpected darling of critics and players alike last year, but it failed to become the big financial hit that Marvel’s Spider-Man did. She was criticized for her gameplay, but she received the most recognition for a great story and even more wonderful characters. It felt like she belonged in the James Gunn films without copying them. The cast also did a great job imitating the characters and making them unique at the same time. The script was so strong that the game’s writer went to work for BioWare to help write the next Mass Effect game.

While the future of the Guardians of the Galaxy games remains unclear, Star-Lord’s voice actor wants to play another Marvel hero. The actor took to Twitter to campaign for the role of Wolverine in the upcoming game. In 2021, it was announced that Insomniac Games would be working on a new Wolverine game, which took fans by surprise. The developer is also working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but the Wolverine game has been well-kept secret. As of now, no one has been announced for the role of Wolverine, so several well-known video game actors such as David Hayter are up for the role. The game does not have a release date, so it is not yet known if a casting was held for it.

Major actors such as Taron Egerton are also up for the role of Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s not yet clear if the character will be included in the films and when. There are very few details about Marvel’s Wolverine, but Insomniac has promised that the game will be “mature”, which likely means it won’t shy away from the heavier themes surrounding the character. Fans are also hoping this will lead to another brutal Wolverine game in the vein of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Only time will tell what will come of it, but it looks like the game is in good hands.
