Astroneer has been around for almost six years, and the full release of the game took place almost three years ago. During this time, the game has received many different content updates and new features, the latest of which, the Train/Rails update, became available today.
The update adds, you guessed it, a brand new train and rail system to the game, allowing players to create rail lines and rail junctions on their planets.
These rails can run considerable distances and trains can be made up of 6 locomotives and wagons and can be positioned in any direction, including sideways and inverted. Trains require a certain amount of energy to operate and can operate completely autonomously.
