Magic Leap has revealed the pricing and launch date for the Magic Leap 2 headset, the second generation of its devices.
The headset will be sold in three versions:
Magic Leap 2 Base – basic configuration of the device for 3,299 USD. There is a 1 year warranty, the device can be used in commercial solutions.
Magic Leap 2 Developer Pro – package for developers, use in commercial solutions is prohibited. But the buyer is given access to development tools, sample projects, and is also promised access to monthly releases of updated software. This version will cost 4,099 USD. The warranty is also valid for 1 year.
Magic Leap 2 Enterprise – the most expensive version of the device, costs 4,999 USD. 2-year warranty, commercial use allowed, also includes two years of access to enterprise features, including Unified Endpoint Management (UEM/MDM) capability.
Also announced the final specifications of the device, from the main:
- Camera Resolution 12.6M
- Device weight 260 g (apparently, without a controller)
- Display resolution 1440 x 1760px resolution
