SteamWorld fans have a lot to look forward to in the next couple of years. Last year, the SteamWorld Headhunter co-op game was announced, which will be the franchise’s first fully 3D game, and Thunderful Games confirmed that three more unannounced SteamWorld games are in development. One of them, as it turned out, could be a continuation of the fan-favorite series.
The turn-based tactical game SteamWorld Heist was released in 2016 and has been ported to multiple platforms over the years. Now it looks like a sequel is on the way. When asked about the possible release of SteamWorld Heist 2 on Twitter, Thunderful Games replied that they “may have something planned” for fans of the tactical game and posted the image that you can see below.

Interestingly, of the three unannounced SteamWorld games in development at Thunderful, one, codenamed “Caramel”, has been described as a turn-based strategy shooter in development for PC, consoles, and mobile devices due out by 2024. It’s very similar to the sequel to SteamWorld Heist.
Of course, until something is officially announced, it’s best to keep your expectations under control. When this will happen is still unknown, but we will follow the details, so stay tuned.
