After last month’s teaser, we have confirmation that Lollipop Chainsaw is getting a full remake in 2023.
Announced by publisher Dragami Games, which is run by original game producer Yoshimi Yasuda, the game will hit the world next year, though no official title or platforms have been announced yet. It will be developeda combination of developers from the original version, including Yasuda as producer, and new developers from Dragami Games“.
The game will aim to recreate the original, but Yasuda explained that the remake will have several key differences. With powerful next-generation hardware, the new game will have “more realistic approach to graphics“. Less welcome to fans will be the news that music licensing issues mean that, unlike the 16 licensed tracks in the first game, the remake “in addition to several licensed tracks, the soundtrack will consist of new music“.
