Baldur’s Gate 3 in its full version is approaching and will be available on PC in almost a few weeks, on August 3rd, and Larian advises to refrain from playing in Early Access for now.
The fact is that, as previously reported, saves and progress made in early access will not be transferred to the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3, so the developers do not advise starting the passage of this version, since it will actually be a waste of time.
We do not recommend that players purchase the Early Access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 in order to play early, partly because it is an outdated version, but also because we are already close to launch. In fact, the game is so different from the final version that it makes it impossible for saves to be compatible between versions.
In any case, the early access version is still available, it just might not be worth embarking on an adventure with the idea that in a couple of weeks the final version will be released and you will continue to play with the same character.
In any case, those who purchase the Early Access version before launch will receive a number of digital bonuses such as the Digital Deluxe version and other rewards, but will not have the 72-hour early access to the launch date that was originally announced.
The latter option was also ruled out due to Baldur’s Gate 3’s release date being pushed back, effectively pushing the game forward for everyone.
