Kolink has announced two new CPU coolers Umbra EX180 Black Edition and Umbra EX180 Black Edition ARGB. They are compact tower coolers that provide good compatibility, but still provide high cooling performance. Both coolers are black.
Both single tower coolers use four 6mm copper heatpipes that come into direct contact with the CPU heat spreader. The tubes conduct heat to a black anodized heatsink. Added to the latter is a 120mm PWM fan with a range of 800 to 1,800 rpm. The fans are equipped with hydrodynamic bearings. The fan of the Umbra EX180 Black Edition does not have a backlight, it is just black, in the case of the Umbra EX180 Black Edition ARGB, a hub illumination with an A-RGB LED impeller has been added. The backlight can be controlled by the motherboard or controllers via the 3-pin ARGB connector.
Kolink specifies a TDP of up to 180W for the Umbra EX180 coolers. The cooler cover is also black, you can see the Kolink logo in the center.
The cooler mounting system is compatible with AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets, as well as Intel LGA 1700, 1200, 115x and 20xx sockets. According to Kolink, the installation has been simplified as much as possible. Thermal paste with a thermal conductivity of 12.8 W/m·K is included with the cooler. The cooler measures 130 x 157 x 75mm (W x H x D) and weighs 500g. The narrow heat sink ensures good memory compatibility.
Kolink Umbra EX180 CPU coolers without backlight have already appeared in European retail. Kolink Umbra EX180 Black Edition will cost €30, Kolink Umbra EX180 Black Edition ARGB will cost €35. Sales of the A-RGB version will begin in mid-January 2023.
