According to the writer, he follows the proverb that one should not kill anyone if it is not necessary. So they left the door open for Jensen Ackles to play Thunder Soldier. Moreover, Kripke added that he could not imagine the end of the series without the return of Soldier.
From the same interview, it became known that Black Noir will also return in the new series, who will again be played by Nathan Mitchell, however, according to the plot, this will be a different person in the same costume.
