Intro video of the upcoming jRPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord

Compile Heart has revealed a new trailer for their upcoming jRPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord.

The trailer showcases the game’s opening scene, which is mostly about getting to know the main characters, as well as some of the scenes included in the game.

We can also listen to the game’s opening song, “Inori no neiro” (Sound of Prayer), sung by Yui Ishikawa’s beautiful voice.

You can watch the trailer below.

Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord will release in Japan for PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on September 15, 2022.

One of the most interesting key concepts of the game is the presence on the battlefield of tactical RPG “divas” who perform songs that strengthen friends and weaken enemies in a certain area.

Where opposing songs intersect, they create an area of ”Dramatic Resonance” – a positional element in which both buffs created by a friendly diva and debuffs created by an enemy diva have double the effect. Basically, you can enter this zone to play with high risk and high return, and you can see what it sounds like in the previous videos.

No Western release has been announced at this time. Compile Heart only recently brought the game to Japan, and it usually takes a little longer for their western arm, Idea Factory International, to announce a localization.

Recently, IFI has gotten better at announcing localizations closer to Japanese releases, so it might not take long.
