Intel Core i9-13900K spotted on Geekbench 5 at 5.8GHz outperforming Ryzen 9 5950X by 50%

The upcoming 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K has been tested in Geekbench 5 software.

This time, the processor has a maximum clock speed of 5.52 GHz, but the details of the results show that it actually increased when overclocked to 5.79 GHz and stayed at 5.7 GHz for most of the test.

The processor has been tested with an ASRock Z690 motherboard compatible with DDR5 memory. However, one can only speculate whether the higher clock speed is the result of manual overclocking or if it was a standard processor tested without power capping.

More importantly, the result of this test raises the bar above 2212 points in the single-core test and up to 25497 points in the multi-core test. Compared to the official Geekbench average for the Ryzen 9 5950X, performance is up to 32% and 54% respectively.

The Intel Raptor Lake processor series will be announced on September 28 at the Intel Innovation event. The new series is rumored to be officially released on October 17th. At least three samples are expected on this day – 13900K, 13700K and 13600K. They should compete with the AMD Ryzen 7000 series – 7950X, 7900X, 7700X and 7600X, which should be released a month earlier – September 15th.
