At the EVO Fighting Game Premiere Tournament, Arc System Works unveiled a rough roadmap of what fans can expect through 2022 as well as 2023.
The second Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass will begin with the addition of a new character in the summer of 2022, though no specific date has been given. Around the same time, the PS5 and PC versions of the game will get some improvements. The PS5 version of the game will receive a patch that will reduce input lag for players, while the Steam version will receive an update that will reduce connection times for initial server connections.
In addition, some big additions are coming to Guilty Gear Strive in the fall of 2022, and another DLC character will be added during this period. Not only that, Arc System Works will host a global cross-play beta test for all versions of the game. This beta is scheduled for mid-September and more information on how to join these sessions will be announced at a later date. Crossplay should be released around the same season.
The winter period will contain a major combat balance update for the game, though nothing specific has been specified. As for 2023, since there will only be four characters in the second Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass, the last two will be released during that year. An additional stage will also be added for each character. Arc System Works notes that this schedule is preliminary and is likely to change in the future.
