Global shipments of smartphones fell by 9%

The first place in the market is still occupied by Samsung.

In the latest report on the website of the world-famous analytical company Canalys, they published a fresh report on the state of the global smartphone market in the second quarter of this year. As it turned out, global shipments of smartphones fell by 9%.

Experts noted that the fall in demand for smartphones is due to the unstable economic situation and regional uncertainty. However, the leadership is retained by Samsung. The share of the South Korean manufacturer in the world market is 21%.

Behind Samsung is the American company Apple. The market share of the Cupertino giant is 17%. The TOP-5 is closed by Chinese electronics manufacturers – Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, occupying 14%, 10% and 9% of the global smartphone market, respectively.
