As Storybook Brawl nears the end of its epic journey to a full launch in early 2023, developer Good Luck Games has revealed some updated images. In an effort to invest in the art team, GL Games recently hired several key employees, including Christopher Hayes, a senior concept artist at Hearthstone, and other former artists from Activision Blizzard.
“The personality of our fairy tale and fantasy characters is a very important part of the gameplay in SBB,” says Matthew Place, CEO of GL Games. “One of our key goals this year has been to expand the art team and provide them with all the resources they need to dive headfirst into fleshing out the game world and making it a fully realized, visually stunning realm.”
In addition to the updated in-game art, Storybook Brawl will receive a new logo and game board, as well as an updated user interface.
Developed by the veteran design team from Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone and Elder Scrolls Legends, Storybook Brawl is a light-hearted auto-battle card game featuring characters from beloved fairy tales and myths. While the game is easy to dive in and easy to play, the wide variety of maps offers deep strategy and suits a variety of play styles.
