Total Film was in Hall H to see the new trailer, in which Gamora became the head of the Ravagers – but she doesn’t remember anything. Quill is understandably saddened by this news. Franchise regulars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff return as the titled Guardians, along with Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn and Sylvester Stallone. Newcomers include Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Peacekeeper Chukwudi Iwuji, Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior, Borat 2’s Maria Bakalova, and Nico Santos in unknown roles.

The last appearance of the Guardians was in Thor: Love and Thunder, after which they and Thor went their separate ways. Before that, they were in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and their last solo film was 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
