Popular Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu has released the official music video for the song he performed for Final Fantasy XVI.
Titled “Moongazing” or “Tsuki Wo Miteita” in Japanese, the song was first revealed back in April and was shown in an emotional trailer a few weeks ago. The song was not only performed by Kenshi Yonezu, but also written by him.
The imagery in the clip symbolizes the game’s live world, and certainly does a good job of depicting extremely dark themes, as you’d expect from Final Fantasy’s transition to a more mature setting.
Final Fantasy XVI is currently available exclusively for PS5.
