Edition Entertainment Weekly shared a fresh batch of frames from the upcoming series “The Lord of the Rings” (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power). This time the main attention is paid to the elves: here are the already familiar Elrond and Galadriel (only young), and King Gil-galad, and even Celebrimbor, who created the elven rings of power. However, representatives of other races also found a place.
The show will bring the legendary Second Age of Middle-earth to screens for the first time. The action will unfold thousands of years before the events “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” and takes viewers back to the times when great powers were born, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruins, heroes were tested, hope hung in the balance, and the greatest villain ever written by Tolkien threatened to send the whole world into darkness.
The series will premiere September 2, 2022.
