While on a trip, one Cyberpunk 2077 fan was amazed to find an exhibit dedicated to the game in the Museum of Failure. Yes, that’s right, Cyberpunk 2077 ended up in the same museum that tells the world about catastrophes like Google Glass and the ET game. And that’s only because the game was full of bugs and broken promises, and was pulled from the PlayStation Store for several months due to an avalanche of refund requests. A little cruel.
It looks like Cyberpunk 2077 has been featured in the Museum of Failure for a long time, but the user Reddit p4ul1023 just brought this to the attention of the fans. No wonder not everyone thinks the game deserves a place in this museum, especially right above ET.
Some refer to the fact that they had no problems with the game on the first day. But it’s hard to deny that someone had them. Even without bugs, the game lacked features that were showcased in promotional material such as car chases and parkour.

However, others point out that it’s hard to argue that it was a flop when it actually sold well despite its erratic launch. Sales only improved when the bugs were fixed. And, of course, the success of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series boosted sales significantly, especially since CD Projekt Red had the foresight to put the game on sale when the series was released. However, it is likely that the original state of the game will be used as a cautionary tale for years to come, so it can still be considered a failure in this respect.
