Cross-play between PC and Xbox coming soon to Arma Reforger

Arma Reforger, Bohemia Interactive’s Early Access multiplayer and Arma 4 testbed, will soon support cross-platform play between PC and Xbox. The studio says the feature is currently in its final stages of testing, and while a specific release date has yet to be set, cross-play will be enabled.”soon“.

“Players on PC and Xbox will be able to fight together in the near future,” Arma Reforger developers said in the latest report. “We are currently in final internal testing and plan to enable it on official and community servers. This should allow Xbox players to finally enjoy modified multiplayer matches.”

This means that the player pool will be larger to fill the servers, which will make the games in Conflict more alive (or any other game mode with mods).

The developers also reported that mouse and keyboard support for the Xbox version of the game still requires additional development time.

AT report The developers also discuss current Arma Reforger shutdown issues and multiplayer stability issues. The developers say they have been hard at work analyzing and fixing various issues that lead to disconnections, connectivity issues in general, and crashes – both on the client and server side.

According to Bohemia, the main source of client-side crashes were conflicts between Arma Reforger mods. This makes it difficult to reproduce crashes as there are already many mods available and countless possible combinations. No studio is in a position to test every one of them, so Bohemia says it relies heavily on player feedback to track and isolate issues.

In the meantime, the studio says it’s working to make the game a little more forgiving when mod conflicts arise, for example by disabling individual mods or mod features that are causing issues.
