Blizzard has announced a new Diablo 4 Campfire Chat livestream on Friday, July 21 at an as-yet-undetermined time. This is an almost unplanned date organized by the development team in response to the many criticisms of the players regarding the changes made in the latest patch.
Let’s take a step back for those who are not in the know. Blizzard has released patch 1.1.0 for Diablo 4 ahead of the start of the new season, which opens tomorrow, July 20th. The update was not warmly received by the players due to a number of underestimated changes.
Among them are a decrease in stats for all classes and, in particular, for an enhancer, as well as a decrease in critical damage modifiers, damage to vulnerable enemies, and a decrease in the cooldowns of some skills, which negatively affected many builds previously created by players.
As a result, there have been complaints from the community on social media, with many players feeling that these changes have slowed down progress. As a result, Diablo 4 Community Development Director Adam Fletcher tweeted that Blizzard staff will address any negative feedback in a new “Campfire Chat” broadcast scheduled for Friday.
We’ve received feedback from players regarding some of the changes in Diablo 4 v1.1.0. On Friday, at the end of this week, we will be hosting a Campfire Chat to talk more about this. More details about the timing will appear in the coming days. Thanks again for the feedback!
Clearly, all of this negativity is coming at the worst possible time for the Blizzard team, as Diablo 4’s first season kicks off tomorrow.
