Obviously, there is no one on this planet who could stop the vengeful creature from dominating the box office. And the truth is after a strong first week, “Black Adam” continues to rule the box office, with a worldwide box office total of $250 million to date. The film, starring Dwayne Johnson, earned $7.5 million on its second Friday and has now made about $39 million over the weekend in 76 overseas markets. Proving its status as an international hit, the film has also grossed $139 million in cumulative audiences to date with around 29 million viewers and outperformed 2019 DC’s Shazam by +42%.
Black Adam beat out Julia Roberts and George Clooney’s romantic comedy Ticket to Heaven, which came in second with $10 million and a 39% drop over two weekends. Lionsgate’s “Evil Light” is expected to take third place at the box office in its opening weekend.
Black Adam will be released in Japan on December 2nd. Next month, the film will take on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which opens on November 11.
