Intel has recently begun phasing out of the NUC business, handing it over to its partner companies, who have been very excited by the news.
For example, ASUS has received a license to manufacture current and future NUCs, and now insiders say that as a result of this agreement, ROG NUC computers can be released to replace Intel’s NUC Extreme line.
According to sources from the Italian news outlet Bits and Chips, ASUS has already begun developing the ROG NUC to replace the Intel NUC 13 Extreme mini PC. It is worth noting that this computer uses 13th generation Raptor Lake processors.

Therefore, it makes sense that the successor to the Intel NUC 13 Extreme, the ROG NUC, will use Intel’s upcoming 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors. On the other hand, you need to understand that Intel has allegedly canceled the release of low-power Meteor Lake desktop processors, so the ROG NUC will most likely use Meteor Lake mobile processors, unlike the Intel NUC 13 Extreme, which has Raptor Lake K-series processors, including Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K or Core i5-13600K.
The question is rather what the real performance, power consumption and price of the computer will be. Still, even if the computer is very compact, light and easy to work with, if it is too expensive, then there will obviously not be many potential buyers.
