A Skyrim mod similar to the Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor will be released on August 6

The Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor-inspired Shadow of Skyrim mod aims to bring something akin to its iconic Nemesis system to Bethesda’s RPG – and now it’s got a release date and it won’t be long to wait.

There are a lot of fantastic mods for Skyrim on PC, but the prospect of adding the Nemesis system is enticing. Nemesis, in case you didn’t know, organically turns ordinary opponents into powerful antagonists if they manage to defeat you.

The Shadow of Skyrim mod from creator Syclonix aims to do just that: Enemies get a “unique name, increased stats, and a special buff” and can even use your equipment against you. Even dragons or mud crabs can become your sworn enemy. Players get the debuff upon being defeated and spawn in a random location with a quest to hunt down their new enemy – this is the only way to remove the debuff and get their gear back. The mod also essentially removes death so there is no need to reload after death.

Although it was about fashion announced back in May with the hope of releasing it in June, Syclonix reported today on Reddit that the modification will be released on August 6, so it won’t be long to wait.
