Embracer Group's Game Sales Took a Dive This Year - IGN Daily Fix

Embracer Group’s Game Sales Update

Embracer Group, a leading conglomerate in the gaming industry, recently provided a financial update on the performance of some of their key games. The results were not as rosy as expected, with some titles not meeting sales projections.

Sales Performance Overview

The highly anticipated Epic Mickey remake saw slower-than-expected sales, disappointing fans and stakeholders alike. Despite this setback, Return to Moria, a survival crafting game set in the Lord of the Rings universe, performed well on PC and had a decent release on PS5. However, these successes were not enough to prevent Embracer Group from making strategic decisions like selling off Borderlands developer Gearbox Software and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 developer Saber Interactive.

New Game Releases

On a more positive note, Embracer Group announced the upcoming release of Infinity Nikki, an open-world dress-up game slated for December 5th. This highly anticipated title is the brainchild of Kentaro Tominaga, a former director on the Zelda franchise. Additionally, Atomfall, dubbed “the British Fallout,” is set to launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on March 27, 2025. Excitingly, this game will be a day one inclusion on Game Pass, giving players easy access to the post-apocalyptic world of Atomfall.
