Palworld: 7 Things to Do First
Palworld has it all! Combat, farming, crafting, collecting, and exploration are some key features in this open-world survival game where you live alongside adorable (and deadly) creatures called Pals. With so much to do in this game, there are plenty of options on how to start your adventure. Here are 7 things to do first in Palworld to set you up for success in surviving the first night.
Gather Materials for Survival
Wood: Find at least two pieces of wood on the ground or punch trees to gather. Head north from the starting point in the Plateau of Beginnings to find an expedition Survivor who will give you 10 wood.
Fast Travel: Unlock fast travel at the Great Eagle statue to acquire one technology point.
Build a Primitive Workbench
Technology points allow you to unlock crafting and building recipes. Spend your first six points on essential items such as the Pal Box, Pal Sphere, fire, wooden chest, and wooden structure set.
Catch Pals
Capture Pals using Pal Spears, essential for survival. Craft Pal Spears using three wood, three stone, and one Palium fragment. Kativa is a very useful Pal to have around due to their cat helper partner skills.
Build Your Base
Choose a flat, open area near resources and build your first base. The Pal Box is essential for base construction, and a stone axe can help gather resources more efficiently.
Manage Resources and Hunger
Store items in a chest to avoid encumbrance, gather food to replenish your hunger, and ensure your Pals are fed to enable them to provide labor on the base.
Surviving the First Night
Craft a handheld torch, campfire, or cloth outfit to protect against cold and replenish your hunger faster. Alternatively, build a bed with a roof to skip nighttime entirely.
